This contract is expected to enable Henan MCC to further enhance its network capability and rural coverage, strengthening its network capacity and quality across the whole province.

In addition to network equipment, Nokia will provide Henan MCC with network planning, implementation, and project management for efficient network ramp-up, as well as optimization services for enhancing data transfer rates and network quality.

"This contract further enhances our long relationship with Henan MCC and demonstrates in concrete terms Nokia's committed service support to our customers," said David Ho, VP, Nokia Networks China, "Nokia has been the main supplier of Henan's GSM network at every phase since 1995 and this latest expansion also underlines Nokia's commitment to provide advanced mobile technology solutions in China."
