Keywords:international rectifier? pvt412a? microelectronic relay? electromechanical relay? reed relay?

The PVT412A series of microelectronic relays (MERs) from International Rectifier has two times more load current capability at 400V off state blocking with less than one-quarter device on-resistance than the company's previous MERs.

The MERs have a smaller size, higher sensitivity, and longer operation life than electromechanical relays in telecom, instrumentation, and industrial control applications. The MERs also exhibit bounce-free switching, reduced power consumption, low actuation current, and high levels of immunity to shock and vibration.

The devices are rated for ac/dc load switching applications up to 240Vac rms and 300Vdc at 240mA, and dc-only loads up to 300V at 360mA. They also have a 4kVac rms I/O rating that meets stringent international electrical safety requirements.

Pricing starts at $2 each in 10,000-unit quantities.
