SIP converters deliver full output current at 85°C

The DV/DH series of non-isolated SIP dc/dc converters from Smart Modular Technologies Inc. has been designed to provide full output current when operating up to 85°C, compared to competing devices that supply about half the output current at the same temperature.

Available with dimensions of 40.64-by-16.76-by-5.23mm, the DV (vertical mount) and DH (horizontal mount) converter feature an improved thermal design, operate at higher efficiencies, lower power dissipation, and higher MTBF.

They accept a 3.3V or 5V input and deliver 3A to 7A (0.7V to 3.3V), allowing them to accommodate DSPs, FPGAs, and microcontrollers that operate at lower voltages. Other features of the converters include remote sense, output enable, and output voltage trim.
