Maxim LVDS repeaters exhibit low pulse skew

The MAX9169/MAX9170 four-port LVDS/LVTTL-to-LVDS repeaters from Maxim Integrated Products Inc. exhibit a maximum pulse skew of 150ps - a 70 percent improvement than the pulse skew offered by competing devices.

Available in a 16-pin SOP and TSSOP, both devices operate from a single 3.3V supply over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range. The devices conform to the ANSI TIA/EIA-644 standard, making them suitable for minimizing power, EMI, and bit-error rates in the next-generation clock/data distribution networks of cellphone basestations, switches, hubs, andDSLAMs.

The MAX9169 accepts an LVDS input signal and repeats it at four LVDS outputs, while the MAX9170 accepts an LVTTL input signal and translates it to four LVDS outputs. Prices start at $2.10 (1,000-up).
