A single-chip CMOS radio-frequency transceiver is available from Chipcon AS for narrowband and multichannel applications.
The CC1020 is designed for FSK and ASK systems operating in the 424MHz to 470MHz and 848MHz to 940MHz frequency bands with 25kHz and 12.5kHz channel spacing. The RF transceiver features receiver sensitivity of up to -119dBm, programmable data rates up to 153.6Kbps, 30dB adjacent- and 40dB alternate-channel rejection, and -45dBc adjacent-channel power.
The device operates over a 2.3V to 3.6V power supply range and can communicate over distances of up to 2km. It requires no external RF filtering, IF filtering, or RF switch.
Packaged in a 32-pin QFN, the CC1020 is priced from $2.60 in quantities of 1 million or more.
