Akustica, GN ReSound co-develop hearing-aid chip solutions

Akustica Inc., a developer of acoustic SoC solutions, has entered into a joint development agreement with GN ReSound Group, a manufacturer of advanced technology hearing instruments. The companies will collaborate in the development of prototype acoustic SoC solutions for GN ReSound's next-generation hearing aid products.

Akustica's acoustic SoC solutions, specifically the Sound Capture Chips and Sound Reproduction Chips, are based on patented MEMS technology and deliver capabilities for capturing, processing, and reproducing sound. AkuSound Chips can be custom-designed in collaboration with OEMs and can be optimized for a variety of communications and electronics products including hearing aids, mobile phones, and other devices.
