The MCUs utilizes the company's Programmable Motor Processor Technology (ProMPT) motor control that provides modulated output over the 0Hz to 127Hz frequency range, and has a pre-defined variable frequency curve that can be programmed to suit the application.
Available in 28-pin SOICs, SDIPs, and 40-pin PDIPs, the MCUs are pin and code-compatible with Microchip's current 28- and 40-pin portfolio, enabling designers to re-use software and hardware in existing platforms. The new MCUs are also available in 44-lead TQFP and QFN packages.
In addition to the embedded motor control kernel and self-reprogrammable Flash memory functions, the MCU family features two 10-bit PWMs, 256 bytes of on-board data EEPROM, up to 10MIPS performance at 40MHz.
They also feature three all-purpose 16-bit timers; 8-channel and 10-bit resolution ADC; addressable USART module supporting RS485 and RS232; programmable 16-level low-voltage detection module; and an operating voltage range from 2V to 5.5V. |
