Macnica to distribute UniPress FootPrints product line in Japan

UniPress Software Inc., a provider of web-based help desk and support automation software, has entered an exclusive distribution agreement with Japan-based IT distributor Macnica Networks Co.

According to the terms of the agreement, Macnica will distribute UniPress' FootPrints web-based help desk software products in Japan. Macnica will provide Japanese language versions of the FootPrints products to suit this particular market.

The FootPrints for Exchange, one of the products in the FootPrints line, is designed specifically for integration with Microsoft Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2000, and Active Directory environments. A series of integrated add-on modules are also available for use with both FootPrints and FootPrints for Exchange, offering IT asset discovery and tracking, support for Microsoft SMS Asset Management, direct access to contact records in Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, as well as other LDAP-based corporate directories, integration with online support solutions libraries, email encryption, change and configuration management, and live eSupport.
