Z-World Inc. has announced the availability of an OEM version of its BL2500 Coyote single-board computer (SBC) designed to provide OEMs with a low-cost embedded control for high-volume applications.

The OEM2500 Coyote is available in two standard models - one with an Ethernet interface and another without - and can be customized to user-specified configurations when manufactured in volume orders (at least 500). Various combinations of features are available for memory, 10Base-T or 10/100Base-T Ethernet, digital I/O. serial ports, LEDs, and onboard backup battery.

The Coyote features Rabbit Semiconductors' 29.4MHz Rabbit 3000 microprocessor, 256K of Flash, 128K of SRAM, five serial ports, 16 rugged I/Os (plus one ADC input and two DAC outputs), four LEDs, and 10 timers. It also comes with an industrial Molex-type connectors for rapid production in an assembly process.

The Ethernet interface is supported by a royalty-free TCP/IP stack to allow easy programming, data acquisition, and control of applications with LAN/WAN. Programs developed for the OEM2500 are developed using Dynamic C software.

The OEM2500 measures 100-by-100-by-29mm and is priced starting at $69 and $99 (with Ethernet).
