Conexant solution supports Samsung STBs

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd has selected Conexant Systems Inc.'s digital STB semiconductor solution to support its STBs for deployment in Korea Digital Satellite Broadcasting's (KDB) SkyLife satellite TV receiver network.

The STB supports the digital video broadcasting-multimedia home platform (DVB-MHP), which provides viewers with Internet access and interactive services such as web browsing, Internet gaming, online shopping, and TV receiver mail. Conexant has also teamed with Alticast to deliver the complete DVB-MHP as part of the STB design.
