Sagem, Gemplus partner on secure identity solutions

Gemplus SA and Groupe Sagem have entered a cooperation agreement to jointly pursue development and activities in the field of biometrics and smart card technology for secure identity solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sagem will provide biometrics technology and system integration technology and expertise, while Gemplus will deliver smart card technology, as well as the related software and services required for identity programs.

This cooperation agreement will benefit both Gemplus and Sagem in securing identity projects.
