ERNI has announced the release of the integrated magnetic RJ45 connector for gigabit applications in telecom/datacom equipment, data storage, PCs, network printers, and other peripheral equipment.

The connector features traditional short body style dimensions and terminal footprint design to save on PCB real estate. It meets the IEEE 802.3ab requirements for noise immunity and provides a return loss performance of -3dB over the 1MHz to 125MHz frequency range. This allows the port distances to be extended beyond the 100m as specified by IEEE.

A member of the company's MaxJack line of integrated magnetic modular jacks, the component is available in single port, multiport gang, and stacked and ganged configurations. The single port model has an optional LED indicator.
