STMicro inverter withstands 7V overvoltage

The 74LX1G04 single-gate inverter from STMicroelectronics operates from 1.65V to 5.5V with data retention down to 1.2V, but can withstand an overvoltage up to 7V, protecting mixed-voltage systems against ESD, latch-up, and overvoltage.

Available in either a 5-pin SOT323 or SOT23-5L packages, the inverter has an internal circuit made up of three stages including buffered outputs to provide low-noise operation and stable output. It draws 10?A of quiescent current and supports a power-down mode that places both input and output into a high-impedance state.

The IC exhibits a maximum propagation delay of 4.2ns (3V), allowing its use in high-speed ASIC-to-ASIC communications and memory interfacing applications. Also at 3V, the 74LX1G04 can source 24mA of current, enabling it to drive long transmission lines across circuit boards.
