The TL series of illuminated toggle switches from Nihon Kaiheiki Ind. Co. Ltd withstands a minimum 20kV of ESD and is designed for use in A/V and theater equipment, control panels, and automobiles.

The 18-by-18mm device comes with a 17.5mm or 11mm plastic toggle and a choice of bight (red, green, or amber) or super bight (white, green, or amber) LED. It also features an internal o-ring to prevent the entry of dust and liquids and an external o-ring to provide splashproofing. The terminals are also epoxy-sealed to prevent the entry of solder flux and other contaminants.

The 17.5mm version is available with ratings of 6A, 125Vac and 3A, 250V and requires an actuation force of 25N. It has a maximum contact resistance of 10 milliohms and a minimum insulation resistance of 1 gigaohm. Mechanical lifespan is >50,000 operations, while electrical lifespan is >25,000 operation.

The 11mm version is rated at 28Vdc and requires an actuation force of 50N. Contact resistance is 20 milliohms, while insulation resistance is 1 gigaohm. It has a mechanical and electrical lifespan >50,000 operations.

Both exhibit a dielectric strength of >1kVac between contacts for 1min and >1.5kVac between contacts and panel for 1min. They are screened for operation over the -10C to 55C temperature range.
