The ZMD30010 LIN transceiver from ZMD AG draws 14?A during sleep mode and offers improved EMI immunity and bus I/O slew rate control to ensure low RF emission. It is designed to drive the bus line in automotive and industrial applications.

The IC is used as a part of a master or slave node and works as an interface between a protocol controller and the physical bus. It also performs data switching between bus and TXD/RXD, and level switching between battery voltage and controller voltage.

Available in an SO8 package, the transceiver complies with the LIN Specification 1.2/1.3/2.0 and supports a data rate of up to 19.6Kbps. It operates between 6.5V to 18V and is equipped with sleep mode and wake-up function to reduce power consumption. The device also has a battery-related output to control an external voltage regulator that supplies other devices.

The ZMD30010 offers 4kV ESD protection on the bus pin and is screened for operation over the -40C to 125C temperature range.
