Koncent optical power monitor exhibits low loss

Fuzhou Koncent Optical Communication Co. Ltd has developed an optical power monitor that exhibits low loss and is designed for monitoring optical interface modules and DWDM systems at wavelengths of 1,310nm, 1,550nm, and 1,590nm.

The device has a maximum insertion loss of 0.6dB and a temperature dependent loss of 0.3dB over the 0°C to 70°C operating temperature range. It also has a maximum polarization dependent loss of 0.1dB. The monitor offers a responsivity of 45mA/W to 50mA/W and a return loss of 45dB. It accepts an input between -20dBm to 10dBm and exhibits a typical rise/fall time of 0.3ns.
