HBA introduces asynchronous FIFOs

High Bandwidth Access Inc. has introduced the FlexQ Async asynchronous FIFOs that operate from 3V or 5V supplies with speeds of up to 12ns.

The asynchronous devices are available in densities from 2Kb to 64Kb and are suitable for connecting x8 MCUs, controllers, CPUs that run in different speed domains, and various communication applications. They feature retransmit, depth expansion, and flow-through mode functions for data buffering between A/D conversions.

The FlexQ Async devices are available in plastic DIP and ThinDIP packages and are pin-compatible with competing devices from other manufacturers.
