Advanced Analog Circuits Corp. (AAC), a design house in Shanghai, China, has placed an order for Credence Systems Corp.'s multiple ASL 1000 linear mixed-signal test systems. AAC will use the systems to develop and test analog ICs for mobile communications devices.

The ASL 1000 system is a test solution for standard linear, discrete and analog mixed-signal devices providing multi-site testing to more than 100 sites for higher throughput.

"We prefer the ASL 1000 over competitive test systems because of its high throughput and extremely low total cost-of-ownership," said Haw-Ming Huang, AAC's president and CEO. "The ASL 1000 has enabled AAC to achieve about a 25 percent reduction in our test times and overall cost-of-test. We enjoy a long-standing relationship with Credence, who has established a strong customer support organization in China."
