The new cable is dimensionally equivalent to the standard RG 316 cable and can be terminated using standard connectors. However, the new cable is designed to operate at temperatures of up to 100C, offers non-melting insulation, and exhibits low attenuation loss up to 5GHz.
It is designed for use in commercial equipment, automobiles, medical equipment, instrumentation, and satellite radios.
The Raychem RG 316 cable has an impedance of 50 ohms with a velocity of propagation of 66 percent. Maximum attenuation is rated at 41.67dB/100ft at 2.35GHz. The bare copper center conductor is surrounded by Rayolin L dielectric material, a tin-plated copper braid, and Thermorad F jacketing. |
