Emkay ships surface-mount MEMS microphone

The SiSonic surface-mount microphone of Emkay Innovative Products is manufactured using MEMS technology, enabling the device to have a low profile and exhibit low vibration sensitivity, while maintaining tight control of acoustic parameters.

Suitable for integration into portable devices such as laptops, PDAs, and mobile phones, the omnidirectional microphone measures 3.76-by-6.15-by-1.6mm and has a sensitivity of -42dB. It operates over the 100Hz to 10kHz frequency range and accepts a maximum input sound level of 120dB.

The device is available with operating voltage of 2Vdc and 3Vdc or 5Vdc, and draw <0.5mA (5Vdc). It is screened for operation over the -40°C to 100°C and can withstand a soldering temperature of 260°C for up to 30s.
