NEC Tokin Corp. has announced the development of the Proadlizer structural decoupling device that operates over the 100kHz to 1GHz frequency range and is designed to replace ceramic capacitors and aluminum electrolytic capacitors in decoupling circuits.

Coined from the words "prompt", "broadband", and "stabilizer", the Proadlizer exhibits an ESR of 5 milliohms and an equivalent series reactance of 1pH - both better than polymer or ceramic capacitors. These properties, combined with a capacity of 200pF, enable the device to offer flat impedance characteristic over the 100kHz to 1GHz frequency range.
