Vweb encoder, codec support MPEG-4 standards

Vweb Corp. has announced the release of the VW005 encoder and VW2010 codec ICs, which support full-screen interlaced DVD MPEG-4 video images, as well as other A/V standards including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.263m MP3, AAC, and Dolby AC-3.

Both chips support fixed and variable bit rate for Elementary Stream, Packetized Elementary Stream, MPEG-1 System Stream, MPEG-2 Transport and Program Stream, and MPEG-4 over MPEG-2 Transport Stream. They are targeted for integration into digital entertainment equipment such as digital TV receivers, PVRs, STBs, and digital cameras.

The VW005 and VW2010 will be launched and distributed by Willas Array at the International IC-China Conference & Exhibition from March 3 to 11 at Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen. Co-located with the Embedded Systems Conference and Electronic Design Automation & Test Expo - China, the events are organized by eMedia Asia Ltd, a Global Sources and CMP Media joint venture.
