Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) has partnered with Cambridge Consultants Ltd (CCL) in the first of a series of agreements designed to provide Bluetooth solutions for niche markets. The complete solution agreement allows select companies such as CCL to access and tailor the on-chip Bluetooth core software stack to develop Bluetooth solutions for their vertical markets.

The series of agreements are expected to give specific developers direct access to CSR's on-chip Bluetooth software, enabling the third party to act as a design house for custom on-chip software. The first agreement combines CSR's technology with CCL's third party development knowledge and project management skills.

"Building on our established relationship, this agreement allows us to quickly tailor Bluetooth solutions to exacting customer requirements, whilst building upon CCL's core strength of providing a holistic design and development service," said Jim Schoenenberger, associate director, CCL. "This agreement with the market leader in Bluetooth silicon enables flexible, custom-made Bluetooth solutions for both OEMs and consumers".
