Nitto Denko develops halogen-free foam

Nitto Denko Corp. has announced the development of the Super Clean Foam (SFC) sealing material that is fire-resistant and is halogen-free, to comply with worldwide environmental standards.

Designed to be used as cushioning and to seal out dirt in portable electronic equipment, the SFC is formed using a thin layer of foam from thermoplastic olefin resin and contains no plastics or other additives used to produce conventional foams. The material is UL 94HF1-certified and has a minimum thickness of 0.5mm.
