Eazix Inc., a design service and ODM product developer in the Philippines, has selected Intersil Corp.'s PRISM GT WLAN chipset to provide draft-802.11g connectivity for its latest portfolio of 54Mbps wireless networking products.

Eazix currently markets an 802.11b wireless module, USB adapter and access point using Intersil's PRISM3 chipset. The PRISM GT chipset combines the 802.11g draft standard's mandatory modulation schemes - complementary code keying (CCK) used in 802.11b and OFDM used in 802.11a.

"Eazix selected Intersil's PRISM GT technology because it is a full-featured total solution that combines the speed of 802.11a, with the range of 802.11b and is fully compatible with any 802.11b radio," said Art Tan, president and CEO of Eazix.
