Fiberhome network systems powered by Agere chip solutions

Fiberhome Telecommunications Technologies Co. Ltd, an optical network equipment supplier in China, has selected Agere Systems Inc.'s latest MARS Lite (LT) access devices to be used on its optical networking systems.

Agere will provide the new MARS2G5 T LT, as well as other MARS devices for Fiberhome's next-generation platform for MAN, data, and SONET applications. Fiberhome plans to introduce the multi-service networking platform within this year. Agere has reportedly begun providing volume quantities of these chips.
