XPiQ Inc.'s PMB-25 series of open-frame single-, dual-, and triple-output ac/dc supplies, measuring 107.95-by-63.5-by-24.38mm, delivers a nominal 25W rating in 10 models for medical applications where size restrictions are important.

Single-output supplies provide 5.1-, 12-, 15-, 24-, or 28V. Dual-output supplies deliver 5.1V at the main output and 12V or 24V on the second output. Triple-output supplies deliver 5.1V and 12V; or 5.1- and 15V; or 5.1V-, 24-, and -12V.

Electrical specifications include a switching frequency of 42kHz, line regulation of 0.5 percent at full load, ripple and noise of 1 percent of output voltage (peak to peak), transient response of 500?s for a 25 percent load change and 4 percent maximum deviation, and efficiency of 68 percent.

The supplies are protected against overvoltage and overcurrent, and have autostart circuitry. Input-to-output withstand voltage is 4kVac input to output, 1.5kVac input to ground, and 500Vac output to ground. Mean time between failures is 500,000 hours minimum, as per MIL-HDBK-217F.

The supplies are specified for 0C to 70C with derating, derated linearly from 100 percent load at 50C to 50 percent load at 70C. Pricing for the PMB25 starts at $29 each in 1,000-unit lots. All models are stocked to allow immediate delivery of prototypes. Standard lead time is eight to 10 weeks.
