TeraChip Inc. has introduced the TCF16X10 single-chip, cell-switching fabric that is capable of switching 160Gbps while consuming 15W.

Manufactured using 0.13?m technology, the 896-ball BGA device integrates 64 3.125Gbps serdes transceivers and provides extensive QoS and redundancy capabilities. Interfaces include CSIX, SPI4.4, and NPSI. Other features include directed end-to-end flow control, full multicast support, automatic fault recovery, and cell discard mechanism.

The device operates from 1.2V and 3.3V supplies, and operates over the 0C to 70C temperature range.
