JDS Uniphase platform adopts NI software

JDS Uniphase Corp. has selected National Instruments Corp.'s (NI) LabVIEW graphical development software as the preferred environment for use with the JDS Uniphase Multiple Application Platform (MAP) fiber-optic test product line. According to JDS Uniphase, the optical acquisition and conditioning capabilities of its MAP combined with the analysis and presentation capabilities of LabVIEW significantly reduce development time and increase system performance.

"The combination of LabVIEW and the MAP makes it easy for optical design and test engineers and scientists to develop applications for next-generation optical technologies," said Mihir Ravel, NI VP of technology and corporate development.
