WestCor ac/dc switcher provides 500W output

The FlatPAC-EN ac/dc switching power supply from the WestCor Division of Vicor Corp. measures 233.7-by-127-by-35.6mm and provides up to 500W of output power from one to four isolated outputs.

The device complies with the EN 61000-3-2 standard and exhibits a power density >7.8W/in?. For full EN compliance, the FlatPAC-EN can provide up to 425W. It can be configured with any of Vicor's 300Vdc input dc/dc converters in full-, half-, or quarter-brick sizes.

The device accepts inputs of 90Vac to 132Vac and 180Vac to 264Vac at 47Hz to 63Hz, and uses a microprocessor-controlled auto-ranging function. It also features a passive harmonic current attenuation to reduce EMU and simplify noise filtering. The FlatPAC-EN meets the conducted EMI requirements of FCC Class A and B and EN 55022 Class A. It also meets EN 55022 Class B with an optional ac inline connector.
