Teleview adopts Altera FPGAs for HDTV products

Korea-based Teleview Co. Ltd has selected Altera Corp.'s Stratix FPGAs and MAX 3000A CPLDs to be used in its HDTV receiver and digital TV receiver products.

According to Teleview, the Altera solution delivered the density, memory, speed, and configurability that Teleview needed to build the high-end systems required by their professional broadcasting customers, as well as the flexibility required to respond to changing digital and HDTV industry standards.

"We chose Altera because Stratix devices were the FPGAs that provided us with the right combination of high-end DSP and memory capabilities for HDTV applications," said Yim Jaewon, president of Teleview.
