Oki Electric Ind. Co. Ltd has announced that its facility located in Numazu, Japan has achieved "zero emissions." The Oki group defines zero emissions as a recycling rate of more than 99 percent for general and industrial waste.
The main challenge of zero emissions for the Numazu plant was "accurate sorting of waste" when employees disposed of garbage. The Oki Numazu facility is engaged in the development and manufacturing of transportation systems and acoustic positioning systems. This plant is Oki's ninth and final major manufacturing facility to achieve zero emissions. |
