Nvidia Corp. has added two Microsoft DirectX 9.0-class graphics-processing units to its GeForce FX family.

The FX 5200, priced from $79 for the value PC market, and the FX 5600 for mainstream PCs join the "enthusiast-class" FX 5800. All three share a common cinematic-computing feature set, including advanced vertex and pixel shaders for special effects, the company said. The chips are supported by Nvidia's true binary-compatible Unified Driver Architecture software environment.
