Agilent partners with Intel on PCI Express solutions

Agilent Technologies Inc. and Intel Corp. have collaborated to develop the Agilent protocol test card that coincides with the Intel product development solution for the PCI Express market. The resulting protocol test card for PCI Express is expected to allow R&D, quality assurance, and design engineers to develop next-generation communication platforms, computers, add-in cards and components based on PCI Express technology.

Further, the test card will provide comprehensive test functions to ensure compliance with the PCI Express specification and, in addition, interoperability with other PCI Express devices.

"Agilent supports the adoption of PCI Express technology with its development of a wide range of exercisers and protocol analyzers," said Siegfried Gross, VP and general manager for Agilent's Digital Verification Solutions Division. "Our collaboration with Intel is a key step in accelerating the development of PCI Express-based products for next-generation computing and communication platforms through compliance tools."
