SUSS MicroTec and DELTA (Danish Electronics, Light & Acoustics) have launched a MEMS test forum dubbed as "MEMUNITY," which provides information on all manners of MEMS test topics to those interested in learning more about MEMS testing. This includes news, technical papers, conference dates, among others.

Membership to the forum is expected to bring such benefits as the unique constellation of MEMUNITY, giving members the chance to submit devices which will then be evaluated for their test suitability without obligation.

MEMUNITY results from the Eurimus-funded MICROTEST project which aims to develop special test systems for unpackaged MEMS and bring equipment and device manufacturers together to promote standardization and knowledge-sharing within the MEMS community. Early on in the project, both SUSS and DELTA realized a growing yet unsatisfied demand among MEMS manufacturers for information about testing and so the idea of MEMUNITY was born.

"Through MEMUNITY we aim to provide a forum which will actively promote an exchange of experiences between MEMS manufacturers," commented Jens Branebjerg, Business Manager of MEMS at DELTA. "The ultimate goal is to continue the development of efficient test methods and spread the knowledge about testing which will help expand the industry and benefit the end customer."
