Samsung taps Millennium Cell to enhance its power capabilities

Samsung Electronics Inc.'s central research lab, Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), has selected Millennium Cell Inc., a technology solutions company, to work with them in advancing its fuel cell-powered PC and communications devices.

The collaboration will combine Millennium Cell's Hydrogen On Demand fuel technology with Samsung's expertise in PEM fuel cell development, MEMS technologies, and know-how in consumer electronics. The aim of the partnership is to develop a fuel cell system that will power consumer electronic devices significantly longer than today's rechargeable batteries within the same space and weight.
