Cypress Semiconductor Corp., a provider of USB technology, and keyboard manufacturer NMB Technologies Corp., have collaborated to jointly develop wireless keyboard and mouse solutions based on Cypress' WirelessUSB technology.

The Cypress CY694X solution enables manufacturers of human-interface devices (HID) - including PC mice, keyboards, and gaming consoles - to "cut the cord," maximizing performance while minimizing power requirements.

"WirelessUSB offers the right combination of speed, low power, and cost efficiency that our customers demand," said Chuck Fauble, Director of Engineering for NMB Technologies' Keyboard Division. "Our strategy is to offer this design as a significant part of our wireless product line to OEMs in the PC and other consumer markets."
