Samsung PDP TV to integrate Aurora Systems processor

Samsung Video-Display Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, has licensed Aurora Systems Inc.'s ASI500 video image processor. The processor will be used on Samsung's latest PDP TV receiver family of 42-, 50-, and 63-inch Flat Plasma Display Panel HDTV.

Aurora Systems' ASI500 features include scaling engines, picture-in-picture mode, vertical and horizontal image flipping, dual video input ports, keystone correction, integrated full screen On Screen Display controller, and motion adaptive video and imaging de-interlacing engines.
