Career Technology starts production at Suzhou plant

Taiwan-based Career Technology (MFG) Co. Ltd has announced that its Suzhou, mainland China factory commenced mass production. This off-shore plant is expected to increase their production capacity for flexible PCBs in mainland China.

According to Career Technology president C. Y. Tsai, the company has completed the second phase expansion of its Kunshan, mainland China plant. It anticipates monthly sales to reach 25 percent. He added, "Demand for flexible PCBs use in mobile telephones and notebook computers from mainland China has been increasing. I think starting October or November this year the monthly sales for this plant will reach NT$80 million to NT$100 million ($2.3 million to $2.87 million at $1:NT$34.86)."

Moreover, Career Technology and Pucka Ind. Co. Ltd merged on April 14, 2003.
