Lumileds Lighting LLC will be releasing a warm white version of its high-brightness Luxeon LEDs that is capable of replicating the glow of an incandescent bulb and is targeted for indoor lighting applications.

The new LEDs feature an average light output of 22lx, a correlated color temperature (CCT) in the 3,200K range, and a typical color rendering index (CRI) of 85+. They complement the company's cool white Luxeon LED products, which offer a CCT of 5,500K and a CRI of 70.

As with other products in the company's LED portfolio, the warm white LEDs are claimed to have a lifespan of at least 50,000h and feature small footprint, low energy consumption, and no UV rays.
