Altera Corporation and Dini Group has released the DN5000k10 platform that is based on Altera's Stratix FPGAs and is said to be ideal for algorithm acceleration, logic emulation, and reconfigurable computing applications.

Equipped with two to five Stratix EP1S80, the offering provides designers a platform rich with memory, DSP, high-speed I/O interfaces, and other resources that can be directed towards the development of a wide variety of system-level products.

The Stratix devices powering the DN5000k10 are among the largest FPGAs available today, providing 79,040 LEs, 7.4Mb of embedded RAM, and 22 DSP blocks.

The DN5000k10 also offers four external 512Kx36 pipelined/flowthrough/ZBT SSRAM devices and a 64Kx72 DDR SDRAM to bolster the large amount of embedded memory already available in each Stratix device. A flexible clocking scheme based on two external PLL devices work in concert with the 12 PLLs available in each Stratix FPGA to enable a wide variety of board clocking options.
