Unicap considers corporate re-organization

PCB maker Unicap Electronics Ind. Corp. has applied for a company re-organization at the Shihlin District Court in Taipei, Taiwan. According to the company, they have been experiencing financial problems since the first quarter of this year. Recently, CitiBank took three laser-drilling machines used to make HDI PCBs.

Unicap said in spite of their financial instability at their Taiwan plant, their subsidiary in mainland China remains profitable. There were rumors that the company will sell its mainland China subsidiary to support their monetary crisis but Unicap confirmed that it has no plans in selling the subsidiary.
