Winbond, TigerJet collaborate for Internet phone chipsets

Winbond Electronics Corp. America has aligned with TigerJet Network Inc. to offer a low-cost, high-quality chipset solutions for the Internet phone market. The W681511 is a single channel voice codec IC that features 105A and 100nA typical power consumption in standby and power down modes, and 4.5 to 5.5V single supply voltage.

The Tiger560 VoIP (Voice Over IP) processor enables users to place PC-to-phone calls using VoIP phone gateways, and PC-to-PC calls and web calls using local phone services.
