Datel converter prevents sample loss

Datel Inc. has released its 32-channel PCI-417N series boards for desktop computers that uses an ADC for each channel and features an analog input options of up to 40MHz.

The converter samples all channels exactly in parallel at rates up to 80kHz per channel (5.12MBps aggreagate rate) with each input ADC digitizes to 14-bit resolution that is said to lower system noise and increase system dynamic range.

Full scale input voltage ranges of ±5V or ±10V are selectable per channel. An on-board A/D memory system prevents sample loss when streaming very large sample blocks to host disk or network.

It features an on-board A/D memory system, PCI bus master DMA burst block transfers, Windows 98/NT/ME/2K/XP device driver, DLL Visual C++ software, and ActiveX controls.

The PCI-417N1 (8Ks FIFO) is priced at $2,295, while the PCI-417N2 (256Ks FIFO) is priced at $2,595.
