Toshiba Corp. has selected Zoran Corp.'s Vaddis DVD multimedia processor to be integrated into its latest DVD-R and DVD-RAM HDD recorders. Toshiba's RD-X3 family of recorders, including the RD-X3, RD-XS30 and RD-XS40, allows consumers to record up to six hours of content on a single DVD-R or DVD-RAM disc.
"For the past six years, Zoran's Vaddis-based DVD solutions have allowed us to meet aggressive time-to-market and cost reduction goals for new products such as the RD-X3 series of DVD recorder products," said Mr. Kensuke Adachi, general manager, Digital Media Development Center at Toshiba. "We look forward to working with Zoran to deliver additional DVD recording products as the market grows and matures." |
