SRS Labs Inc. and DSPfactory Ltd have released a highly integrated single-chip DSP solution that features SRS' voice intelligibility processor (VIP) technology and DSPfactory's BelaSigna 200 for mobile communication devices.

The new version of the VIP technology is included in the BelaSigna 200. The device suppresses in-channel noise for receive or transmit voice paths, and provides voice clarity and intelligibility improvements to communication devices used in noisy environments.

The solution easily interfaces with Bluetooth chips such as Silicon Wave's UltimateBlue 3000 radio and is well suited for mission critical and military communications, hearing aids, conference phones, digital corded headsets, and existing consumer products.

The BelaSigna 200 DSP provides manufacturers with a comprehensive, single-chip solution that features a Dual-Harvard 16-bit DSP core, a highly configurable dedicated WOLA (weighted overlap-add filterbank) co-processor, and on-chip power management.
