Toshiba establishes analog IC, optical device R&D center

Toshiba Corp. has started operations at its new Kitakyushu Development & Evaluation Center at Kitakyushu Operations in Kyushu, Japan. The new center brings together the company's analog IC and optical device development activities. Concentration of engineers in Kitakyushu center is expected to enable Toshiba raise its efficiencies in product development and design.
The center has a total floor area of over 7,200 square meters and will employ a staff of about 500 engineers. The facility will house analog IC testing equipment, development and design facilities including that for optical devices such as LED lamps. |
