Tyco Electronics, a business segment of Tyco Int. Ltd, has entered into a license agreement with Radiall S.A. for EPXA & B Series connectors.

The EPXA & B Series is a general purpose interconnection system that is used extensively in military and commercial aircraft applications. The EPXA & B Series is a new concept of rectangular modular connectors that gives more flexibility with improved performance than standard circular Mil-spec connectors.

Under the terms of the agreement, Tyco Electronics is qualified as a second source supplier and is authorized to manufacture, market, and sell EPXA & B Series connectors globally. Tyco Electronics is also allowed to modify, expand, and extend the product design as needed to fulfill the requirements of new applications and markets. The two companies will work jointly to deliver intermateable, interchangeable products by sharing designs on existing products, as well as on product range extensions.
