Mitsumi motor driver IC incorporates actuator functions

The MM3137XV 7-channel motor driver IC from Mitsumi Electric Co. Ltd supports DVD write optical combo drives (DVD-RAM/DVD-RW/DVD+RW) and incorporates various actuator functions that control spindle motor, sled motor, loading motor, and focus/tracking/tilt in one chip.

Measuring 14.1-by-8.3-by-1.2mm, the 5V product features a standby current consumption of 30?A, loss tolerance of 3.9W, and oscillation frequency of 18MHz. Operating between the -40°C to 85°C temperature range, it features a PWM frequency of 70kHz.
