Intersil chip integrated into Corega router

Intersil Corp. has announced that Corega K.K., a provider of networking solutions, has selected Intersil's Prism GT WLAN chip for its latest WLBAR-54GT wireless router. Corega has already incorporated the Prism Nitro technology into their complete suite of 802.11g products that includes a WLCB-54GT wireless PC card and its WLAP-54GT wireless access point.

"Intersil's Prism GT chipset has provided among the most powerful wireless networking solutions available on the market today to enable our new 802.11g wireless networking products," said Seiki Ishizu, managing director and COO of Corega. "The Corega WLBAR-54GT Wireless Router, the Corega WLCB-54GT Wireless PC Card, and [the] Corega WLAP-54GT Wireless Access Point are ideal for high-bandwidth enterprise applications as well as advanced home networking applications."
